This painting was created using acrylics, crayons, and other mediums. As you can see, a lady is seen in the middle of the painting flowing into the earth (or rising from it). This is one out of 5 in my mixed media series created mainly using a palette knife and the backs of my brushes. IF you look closely, you can see the trees growing behind her. This is a 24 X 36 piece painted in yellows/golds/and browns. The painting has a thick layer of a clear protective coat that adds a lot of texture and depth as well as enhancing the colors beneath the surface.

My latest in my heart series. This painting represents living now, living in the present, and loving it. Everyone travels different paths to find thier own happiness or even destruction. The organic background which I manipulate slightly and then let whatever happens to happen stands for the different facets in life. LOVE THE LIFE YOU LIVE, whatever that may be.....

This piece is very warm & cozy. I know, an odd way to describe a painting, but it is. On a canvas that was pre-textured and layered with organic shapes a very vibrant colorful tree full of life grows out of the deserted earth. The background is very muted in warm earth tones, however the tree is bright and layered with multiple colors. This original sold at the Lakewood Ranch Art Festival in 2008, however premium quality giclees are available. If you do not see the specific size you want, please contact me for other options. This was my 2nd painting in the series that just ended up forming itself. When I painted this one however I knew what I was doing. I wanted to take the style and form of its predecesor "Crazy Love" and add a little more. Often times, people think of that crazy love in the beginning of a relationship....this is later...more colors, more layers, more everything. The threads are intertwining now. Reds, blues, turquoise, and translucent golds dripped in the known heart form.
