This painting from my collection of heart paintings is specifically from the "Crazy" side of the art. I had "Crazy Love", "Still Crazy", and now this one, aptly titled "Missing you like Crazy" There are 2 little things about this painting that I wanted to tell you ~ 1. The heart glows in the dark (it's super cool, I walked in to my studio the next morning after painting it was an awesome surprise)

My latest in my heart series. This painting represents living now, living in the present, and loving it. Everyone travels different paths to find thier own happiness or even destruction. The organic background which I manipulate slightly and then let whatever happens to happen stands for the different facets in life. LOVE THE LIFE YOU LIVE, whatever that may be.....

This painting has a lot of depth and intriguing characteristics such as a glazed over background with a lot of different things going on. The heart is sparkly and gold - as love often is. Our lives take us in different directions everyday but whatever direction, it is clear that love is still there, even during daily annoyances which are most likely blessings in disguise anyway. This painting was my third in the series, probably the most expressive and crazy out of the whole set. I really just wanted to take it a step further and to that next level of sheer explosive love. The reason it is titled "Love of Forest Dreams" is because originally I wanted a surreal dreamy forest, a place you'd go to in your dreams...and that is the background. Love is exploding out of that and from that......but its open to interpretation.

This was my 2nd painting in the series that just ended up forming itself. When I painted this one however I knew what I was doing. I wanted to take the style and form of its predecesor "Crazy Love" and add a little more. Often times, people think of that crazy love in the beginning of a relationship....this is later...more colors, more layers, more everything. The threads are intertwining now. Reds, blues, turquoise, and translucent golds dripped in the known heart form.

This was the first painting I did in my heart series...when I began this piece I had no idea what I was doing..I was just laying on the yellows organically by letting the paint flow and drip. After mixing up a few shades of a deep, bright reds, and more acrylic polymer, I dripped the red with a palette knife..until a heart formed. The heart was the last thing and once I saw it I realized it was finished. I titled this painting "Crazy Love" because it encapsulates that feeling.
